One Month Ago

It's hard to believe that it has already been one month since her passing. So, many things have come and gone. The new year was brought in, her funeral, Holly and I found out that we are going to have a baby girl to add to our family, and many other things. In just one month these things have came to pass.

It feels like it was forever ago that she passed, yet it also feels like it was just yesterday. It's a day that will live with me until I can again give her a hug and a big kiss.

Ichiban Okasan

To my dearly beloved mother,

I would never have been able to obtain my Ph. D. without
your support through the years. This accomplishment is at
least as much your accomplishment as mine. You will always
be in my heart, and I will love you forever.

Your loving son,

_-Steve.

Memories live forever....

December 29th was one of the toughest days of my life. Masako was the best grandmother I could have ever asked for. Every moment around her was a gift from god. I was at work at the time when I got the news that she was not going to make it. My soon to be sister in law came and got me from work and we hurried over to the hospital. You know you try to prepare yourself for this, but honestly your never ready.

I have plenty of memories, but it cant replace her laugh, how she said my moms name, or her warm touch...but if I cant have her here in person I know she is her in spirit and always watching us. I am looking forward to telling my children one day about her and telling them all of the things she did to make people happy. Her selfless acts to keep a smile going and people happy. I must say I am also very happy to have the mother I have, I see alot of my grandmother in my mom. She has the same selfless heart, same strong will, and boy she is tough as nails.

My grandma will forever ramain in my mind. G od decided it was time and he took her. Released her from any pain, and for that I am thankful to god. I like to think that she is watching over us, with grandpa smiling and watching over her family knowing that we love her and will never forget her.

I love you grandma !!
